Vigilance

Vigilance

1920 981 Rory Fry

Make me watchful and hateful of my sin
So rebellion may not whip me with each whence
To decompose that which you renovate
In power come reinvigorate

Make me grateful and brimming with compassion
Faith strong with displays of action
Reach the hurting and heal the insane
Manifest peace where there is only pain

Make me faithful every time I stray
In the dark of night and brightest day
I will be a lamp-lit centerpiece
Amidst the empires of entropy

Make me prayerful and I’ll abide
Under the vigilant watch of Your eyes
When woeful flames enrage to incinerate
I’ll cling to the High King who commiserates

Make me truthful to declare Your wonders
To a world rent and torn asunder
By the hammering hunger of hellacious hardships
You hold me still each time my heart slips

Make me
Make me as You wish…

I am an indie writer who loves to proclaim the Saving Message of Jesus Christ and the Healing Power of Recovery. I have been clean and sober since 10/01/2011 and dedicate much of my free time to others, giving Bible Studies and helping the less fortunate through my ministry Reformed and Recovered. I am also the proud father of a three-month-old boy named Rowen who is a true gift to my wife Christina and me. God is Good! I have recently released a thirty-three piece collection of poems, prayers, and polemics called "The Renovation". The collection is available online for the low price of $4. I am self-published and desire to be of service to others and praise our Savior!
